Our Favorite Fish Recipes
Prep time – about 30 minutes or less.
What you will need for 4 fish tacos:
8 small rock cod filets, ¼ head of cabbage, 1 small carrot, 1 lemon, 2 medium size vine ripe tomatoes, ¼ of red onion, 4 medium size tortillas (we recommend Ancient Grains tortillas), avocado, cilantro, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Cajun seasoning, salt and pepper.
Go fishing with Berkeley Charter Boats and catch some fresh rock cod. Have the deckhands filet the fish.
Cabbage salad: shred cabbage and carrots, combine with salt, paper, olive oil and one table spoon of fresh lemon juice. Set aside.
Salsa: dice tomatoes and onions in very small pieces, chop some cilantro, combine with olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Set aside.
Liberally season rock cod filets with Cajun seasoning. Pre-heat a non-stick pan with some oil, fry the fish filet for about 3-4 minute or until slightly blackened.
Pre-heat your tortillas and slice avocado.
Assemble your fish tacos – on each tortilla place small amount of the cabbage salad, then fish, squeeze some lemon on the fish, then spoon some salsa and top with avocado. Wrap it up.
